Vanguard Milwaukee will present its fourth annual production of “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” from Dec. 10 = 22 at Calvary Presbyterian Church.
The production tells the true story of the World War I Christmas Truce, when English and German soldiers laid down their arms, met in No Man's Land and celebrated the holidays together, according to Vanguard Milwaukee.
The a cappella chorale features men's choral arrangements of “Stille Nacht,” “Will Ye Go to Flanders?,” “Auld Lang Syne” and other songs.
The show is suitable for audiences 10 and older and runs approximately one hour and 15 minutes with no intermission. Performances are directed by Jill Anna Ponasik.
Ponasik, along with actor Tomas Dominguez, joined us to preview the show on Monday, Nov. 17.
