MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The family of a Milwaukee man killed last year is still searching for justice.
The body of Jimmie Gray, 67, was found inside a burning home near 24th and Capitol last January. To date, no suspects have been arrested or charged in the crime.
“This was cruel and I’m mad," Charlotte Shand, Gray's daughter, said. "I’m pissed off because you do not even kill an animal they way you killed my father. And they’re somewhere living their life and whoever knows who did it they’re not saying nothing about it.”
The vigil was held on Gray’s birthday, January 19, in hopes of keeping his death in the public eye.
Gray's daughter, Shannon Perry, says her father was a good man, who was suffering from cancer.
"What they didn't know is that my dad was on his last dying days," Perry said. "His cancer came back so, what they did, they rushed his death but that's all right. They took his shell of a body, but God's got his soul."
If you know anything that could help solve this case, contact Milwaukee Police or remain anonymous via Crime Stoppers.
