MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- To get a preview of some of the fun to be had in the city throughout May, Ian Thompson of Visit Milwaukee joined us on Wednesday, May 7 to offer some details.
Maifest returns to Lakefront Brewery on Sunday, May 18. The outdoor festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature over 30 vendors and nine food trucks serving gluten-free items. Live music, a cheese curd express lane and a variety of gluten-free beverages are also planned.
The Pasta Tree will host a Mother’s Day candle-making class on Thursday, May 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $45 and include materials and a glass of wine.
An evening bird walk hosted by the BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 following a 4:30 gallery opening at the Urban Ecology Center.
Ian also offered a reminder about Discovery World’s Lake Michigan exhibit, featuring diver-led fish feedings at 10 a.m.
