Previewing upcoming events in Racine County
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Volunteers from CarMax spent the day sprucing up a Milwaukee public school Thursday, Aug. 15.
Two classrooms, the staff lounge, garden bed and more were revamped by 150 employees.
They say this has taken months of planning, so they came ready for a full day of hard work.
"We're here all day today, we have a lot of different things to impact this school," said Jeff Hall, president of CarMax Foundation. "Everything from building cabinets to panting murals, it's gonna take some time. We have a lot of work to do, but the volunteers here were really going after it today."
Volunteers from several different branches came together to help out at Gaenslen School in the Riverwest neighborhood.
