Walgreens near MLK and Hadley to close early December

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Walgreens located at 2826 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive will close by Thursday, Dec. 5. 

Last month, Walgreens announced that it expected to close to close roughly 1,200 stores nationwide by 2027, and 500 by the end of next year.

In a statement earlier this month, Alderwoman Miele Coggs urged all who utilize that location to start planning for alternative arrangements. 

For customers that do use that Walgreens location, the nearest other locations are at 2950 N. Oakland Ave., 320 E. Capitol Dr., and 1400 E. Brady St.
