Warrant reveals new details about where Dariaz Higgins went after Sierra Robinson’s murder

According to a warrant to search a vehicle in connection to Higgins, a tip to police came from a confidential source saying, around 2 a.m. on March 13, Higgins might be in the area of I-94 just south of the Wisconsin and Illinois border.
Detectives drove that way, according to the warrant, and found a black 2018 Nissan Rogue with Indiana license plates on the side of the interstate, not far from the state line
It was the same type of vehicle described by a witness as being in the back lot of an apartment complex near where the deadly shooting happened.
Detectives talked to an Illinois highway worker who called in to have the vehicle towed. Higgins was not with the vehicle when detectives arrived because the warrant says a man gave him a ride to a Pleasant Prairie rest stop.
When detectives showed that man a picture of Higgins, the man said it was the guy he had given a ride to.
The warrant does not say how Higgins went from there to the Midpoint Motel on Appleton Avenue where he was arrested later that day.
