Waukesha County Sheriff's Office says they will not investigate, respond to mask mandate violations

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Some law enforcement agencies are pushing back on the statewide mask mandate.

Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson released a statement saying his office would not be investigating, nor responding to reports of violations of people not wearing masks.

He did say law enforcement would investigate other crimes that may result from a mask violation, including disorderly conduct, trespassing and property damage.
