Man charged after pursuit through several counties

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- 32-year-old Joseph Marino is facing charges such as attempting to flee or elude an officer, second degree recklessly endangering safety, obstructing an officer, and possession of cocaine, according to a criminal complaint.
The chases lasted roughly ten miles through the City of Waukesha at speeds over 100mph in residential and commercial zones, according to the criminal complaint.
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A wanted man is in custody tonight after leading several agencies on a chase throughout several counties in southeastern Wisconsin Tuesday, Dec. 12.
The suspect has not yet been named, but police said multiple agencies wanted him in connection to several crimes in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Waukesha police first spotted the car in the city at about 2 p.m. It was wanted for an armed carjacking, armed robbery, and vehicle pursuits.
Police officers, the state patrol, and Waukesha County Sheriff's Department all tried to stop him. But he raced through several counties, speeding down the highway in Oak Creek, then city streets in Franklin.
Eventually he worked his way west again, going off-road near a medical building in Pewaukee.
Though stuck in a marsh, police said he was still revving his engine. When he didn't surrender, a police K-9 went in to make the arrest.
There was a major law enforcement presence from 2:30 in the afternoon until 4, which caused a major backup on westbound 94.
The Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin was put on lockdown for about 10 minutes, but a manager said no clients or employees were hurt in the incident.
Waukesha police said it was "an involved investigation to say the least," and said agencies in Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Illinois were all interested in the suspect.
Four Waukesha police cars were damaged in the chase. Police said the officers involved were doing well.
The suspect was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries he got from the police K-9.
Waukesha police said charging decisions will be made at a later time.
