CBS 58 WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Earlier Friday, Feb. 27, the West Allis-West Milwaukee Rec Department hosted their first ever "All-Abilities Craft Fair."
This event celebrated disabled artists, while giving them a platform to sell their pieces of work.
One organizer believes that days such as this, promote inclusion and connection throughout the community.
"It's important that people from the disability community know that they have a right to be in here in the community and events," said Katie Lingren. "Like this is here to uplift them and give them a time to shine."
The fair welcomed more than 25 organizations and vendors from our area.
