MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was not the outcome Milwaukee wanted Wednesday night, June 23.

The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Atlanta Hawks in a close 116 to 113 fall.

"We should've done better, that's all. We really shouldn't even have had a competition. It should've been no contest," said fan Elena Patterson.

The loss was a shocker, but having it be within three points was the stake in the heart.

Many fans felt the Hawks weren't as tough as the Nets, but apparently Trae Young is this round's KD.

"I thought that we did not make enough adjustments in the game," said fan Rowan Chheda. "And we let Trey Young, who is not Kevin Durant, drop 50 on us with the same move, over and over and over. Beyond that, we couldn't make our shots and Kris Middleton struggled."

Wednesday night, fans had many ways to watch the game in the Deer District with three different outdoor screens, the Mecca and other area bars and restaurants.

Security was also tighter, including a main entrance to the south.

As the Bucks gear up for Game 2 on Friday, June 25, fans want them to center themselves and come back with a new, better strategy.

"Honestly, I feel like we've got the best team in the league but we need a new coach. Too many threes. The first quarter, we shot a thousand threes. Every time we got in the paint we scored. You can't live off the three," said fan William Taylor.

If you're coming out to support the Bucks on Friday, you can also get your COVID-19 vaccine before the game.

The Milwaukee Health Department will be back near the big Bucks statue from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fans who get the shot will be entered to win tickets to Friday's game, and will be notified beforehand.
