FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Maple Sugar Days at Wehr Nature Center features guided hikes through an old-fashioned sugar camp, live syrup-making demonstrations, tastings and hands-on activities for all ages on March 7 and 8, according to Friends of Wehr.
Jessica Del Toro of Friends of Wehr joined us on Wednesday, Feb. 25 for a preview of the event.
Attendees can learn about the history of maple sugaring in Wisconsin, including Indigenous traditions, and sample a flight of syrups for an additional fee. Maple-inspired food and treats will also be available for purchase.
Maple Sugar Days runs from noon to 4 p.m. both days. Admission is $12 per person or $10 for Friends of Wehr members. Children 2 and under are free.
