WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Pi Day, recognized annually on March 14, celebrates the mathematical constant 3.14 and has become an occasion for bakeries to offer pie-themed specials.
Allison Collard, lead baker and manager at The Bake Sale in West Allis, discussed it when she joined us on Wednesday, March 12. She shared insights on pie trends, special offerings and what the bakery has planned for the occasion.
Bakeries nationwide use Pi Day as an opportunity to showcase traditional and unique pie flavors. The Bake Sale is among those participating, with Collard discussing the types of pies available and what customers can expect.
