CBS 58 WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Allis police arrested two people early Tuesday, Nov. 25 after a traffic stop led to a pursuit and crash.
A West Allis officer attempted to stop a Mazda sedan just after midnight near 74th and Lapham, according to police. The Mazda fled and hit a parked vehicle before the driver and passenger ran from the crash scene, police said.
Officers reportedly found two firearms inside the Mazda and searched the area with a police K-9. The driver, a 25-year-old Milwaukee man, was found in a garage he had forced his way into to hide, police said.
A 21-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was arrested in a nearby business parking lot.
The driver was arrested for burglary, eluding an officer, felon in possession of a firearm, obstructing an officer, second-degree recklessly endangering safety and warrants. The passenger was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing an officer and possession of THC.
