WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A prom can be one of the most memorable, yet nerve-racking times of your life.
It's usually reserved for high school students, but on Tuesday CBS 58 visited a true senior prom.
Heritage Senior Living in West Allis hosted their inaugural senior prom for its residents.
Student volunteers from West Allis Central helped dance the night away and ran raffles for the group.
It was special for everyone, including those that celebrated with their significant other.
"We have so many couples still in the community and they're celebrating 60 to 70 to 80 years of marriage, and this was a great event to bring everyone together," said Heritage Senior Living's executive director Anthony Vaughns. "And for those that do not have loved ones still here, they're definitely shining down on us."
David and Terri were named king and queen of the prom and were able to have the traditional dance as well.
