Whitefish Bay School District reinstates mask mandate amid rising COVID cases in Milwaukee County

WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Rising COVID-19 cases are causing some local school districts to reinstate pandemic safety precautions.

Starting Monday, May 23, students in the Whitefish Bay School District are required to wear masks while at school.

At the end of the week, a meeting will be held to talk about whether the mandate should remain in effect.

The mandate was reinstating because Milwaukee County is in the "high" level of community spread, not because of the number of cases in the school.
