Wind chills go sub-zero to start the new work week
If you thought last week was cold, then add even more layers this week! Wind chills went below-zero early Monday morning as a few flurries flew through the air. Wind chills officially went below-zero Monday morning at 7 AM in Milwaukee and may stay below-zero through Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will stay in the upper teens to around 20 then we do get some relief with mild air in the 30s to around 40 for the end of the work week.
Wind gusts picked up Sunday afternoon and will stay strong throughout the day Monday with gusts to 30 mph. The breeze will remain Monday night into Tuesday with gusts to 20 mph then just a bit of a breeze on Wednesday as we get the wind shift with the mild air.
Tuesday morning will likely be the coldest morning of this cold chill with wind chills as cold as -20 or even colder. Cold Weather Advisories start at -20 and even colder. Our current forecast is borderline but for now, no cold weather advisories have been issued.
By Tuesday afternoon wind chills get back to around zero. Feels like temps Wednesday morning get as cold as -10 with afternoon wind chills getting close to 10 degrees above-zero.
