VISIT Milwaukee preview: March 29-31
CAMPBELLSPORT (CBS 58)-- A car ride just one hour north of Milwaukee can make for the perfect day trip to experience all the winter fun Wisconsin has to offer. Everything from cross-country skiing, to ice fishing, to winter hiking and snowshoeing can be found at the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit near Campbellsport.
The overall area covers roughly 30,000 acres across 30 miles-- through Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, and Washington Counties. Our last ice age helped sculpt this region, making a natural backdrop for any outdoor activity this time of year.
You can rent equipment, like skis, snowshoes, or fishing poles at this site in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. To learn more special events planned for the rest of the winter at this location, just click here.
