Winter Weather Advisory issued; accumulating snow likely for Halloween
A winter weather advisory has been issued for the entire area. It starts at 10 pm and lasts until 3 pm on Halloween. The likelihood of accumulating snow continues to go up as we approach the start of this system.
This evening we will expect some light rain and some drizzle. Closer to 10 pm that rain will start to switch over to snow.
Overnight into Thursday morning should feature mostly snow. Slushy conditions could be around for the morning commute. Slippery sidewalks need to be monitored as kids go to school.
Snow showers will wrap up during the late afternoon and early evening. Some flurries are possible for Trick or Treating with wind chills in the 20s.
The best chance for 4" to 6" of snow will be across Walworth, western Racine and Kenosha counties. Most areas will pick up between 2" to 4". The toughest spot to pinpoint will be the lakefront. The warm lake waters might keep it more of a mix until early Thursday morning once the winds shift.
