MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Croatian Eagles Soccer Club, based in Franklin, issued a statement on Friday, Dec. 5 to clarify that Justin Kagerbauer is not a member of the club's Board of Directors, leadership team or coaching staff and has never been an employee.

According to the statement, Kagerbauer is a parent who volunteered in administrative roles that involved coordinating schedules, fields and payments but did not involve coaching, supervising or working with children. He completed a background check that revealed no concerns, the club said.

The club claims to have learned of the allegations through media reporting on Tuesday, Dec. 2, adding that Kagerbauer has been suspended from all club operations and is prohibited from being on club property.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In September of this year, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Milwaukee was contacted by HSI Attache in London for help in a child exploitation investigation involving an individual within the Milwaukee area, who expressed interest in traveling to the United Kingdom (UK) to engage in sexual activity with a minor.

The user was later identified to be 46-year-old Justin Kagerbauer, a coach with the Croatian Eagles Soccer Club in Franklin.

From March to November, Kagerbauer was in communication with who he thought was a woman in England selling her nine-year-old niece but was actually an uncover agent.

Kagerbauer made comments about the child on a profile fabricated by UK law enforcement, saying that he was interested in girls "6+," expressing his sexual interest stating, "it would be a dream come true," according to the complaint.

In the fall, Kagerbauer planned to take his son to an UK university and "reiterated his plans to visit her and the child," stated the complaint.

Law enforcement eventually linked the user to Kagerbauer as he shared personal identifying information, tracking his computer accounts to the Milwaukee area.

In November, Kagerbauer was to fly out of O'Hare Airport to head to England. Homeland Security planned to arrest him before he boarded but it is unclear when he was exactly taken into custody.

Kagerbauer was charged with multiple sex crimes and is facing 40 years in federal prison.
