Wisconsin State Fair Adds Metal Detectors

The Wisconsin State Fair Park’s Police confirmed on Tuesday that State Fair will have metal detectors this year.
This comes a two weeks after Summerfest announced everyone will have to go through a metal detector.
State Fair will run August 4-14.
Summerfest’s decision to add metal detectors happened before Orlando’s shooting.
A press release issued by a spokesperson for Summerfest said the reason for the change was to get their policy more in line with other large venues including Miller Park and Lambeau Field.
