WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin State Fair Park announced an updated Youth Admission Policy in a social media post on Thursday, Sept. 24, requiring anyone 17 or younger to be accompanied by an adult after 5 p.m.

Under the policy, children 17 and under must have a parent, guardian or chaperone at least 25 years old with them to enter the park after 5 p.m. Each chaperone can accompany up to four minors, with an additional chaperone required for larger groups.

The chaperones must remain on the grounds for the duration of the visit.

Fairgoers may be asked to show a valid photo ID with a date of birth, as a picture of an ID will not be accepted. The policy also mentions that organized, ticketed group outings and competition participants are exempt from the policy.

The policy says that State Fair Park staff reserve the right to remove unaccompanied minors while the policy is in effect, with park leadership having the right change the policy at any time.
