MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- The Wisconsin Hemp Expo will offer information on the Hemp industry. There will be vendors, hemp retailers and business and information on how to invest in the industry.
Wisconsin legalized hemp farming in Nov. 2017. Farmers had been growing hemp for a long time before it was banned in the 1930s.
Farmers who want to grow industrial hemp have to apply for a state license and they can't have any drug convictions. The deadline to apply is May 1.
