Bucks to host welcome rally for Damian Lillard
SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 34-year-old man is recovering following a shooting Saturday night in the parking lot of the Metro Market on Oakland Ave. While local officials say that the victim will be fine, we spoke to a woman who detailed how she was impacted when the suspect's car hit her vehicle while fleeing the scene.
Ebony Bowie says that both she and a passenger in her car were hurt, and that she was taken to a local hospital.
"I couldn't avoid him. I tried to move... He hit me so hard," Bowie said.
She added that her career is based on driving and that she fears never being able to drive again following the incident.
"That was the most terrifying experience I have ever had in my life."
Police say the original shooting stemmed from a fight over a gun before it discharged and hit a victim, leading to a police chase that ended with a crash.
Bowie told us that she is concerned about public safety during chases involving police, claiming that the area was unsafe for a high-speed chase because of a curve in the road.
