Woman dies in fire at mobile home park in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 29-year-old woman was killed in a fire in Dodge County early Friday, Jan. 3. 

Just before 1:50 a.m., authorities were called to a residence located at the North Hills Mobile Park, located at N8283 Kellom Road, just north of the city limits of Beaver Dam. 

According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, deputies were at the scene within three minutes of the call and found the residence fully engulfed in flames. 

A 29-year-old man was able to make it out safely, but another resident of the home -- a 29-year-old woman -- was not able to escape. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The pets within the home were also found deceased.

The cause of this fire is under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall.

Assisting at the scene were the Beaver Dam Police Department, Beaver Dam Fire Department, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Waupun Fire Department, Juneau Fire Department, Burnett Fire Department, Randolph Fire Department, Hustisford Fire Department, and the Watertown Paramedics.
