The thawing continues on!
Despite a northwest wind yesterday, we had plenty of sunshine which allowed our temps to be back in the mid/upper 30s!
We are a touch cooler today as we have more of an easterly onshore wind. This is keeping temps closer to the Lake just a touch cooler than further inland as our wind is relatively light. High pressure is in control of this as well is why we are staying dry and away from rain that is moving through Central IL. A flurry or sprinkle does have the potential to pass through, but otherwise this quiet stretch will hold through the weekend. Our next rain chance looks to be on Wednesday.
The system that is bringing the rain to our south will be what brings us more of a southwest wind starting tomorrow. This will allow for a significant warmup with temps returning into the low 50s by Monday! Warmer temps will also allow patchy fog to build in tonight, and then again for the weekend.
