MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was a special night for some lucky kids in Milwaukee.
Thanks to a partnership between the Boys & Girls Club, Kohl's, and the Bucks, 14 kids were given $300 gift cards to go on a shopping spree.
And if that isn't cool enough, they were also joined by Bucks guard Delon Wright. Both the kids and the Bucks representatives say Monday night was a special opportunity to come together.
"It's awesome to see the progression of kids in the program, you know building their confidence, learning these life skills that they can take on with them," said Angela Gilman, director of corporate social responsibility for the Milwaukee Bucks
"I've had many opportunities with the Boys & Girls Club throughout the years, but this is definitely the one that is like top opportunity," said Boys & Girls Club member Princess Nevaeh Edwards.
The kids were picked to take part Monday night because of the leadership skills they display on a daily basis. And it doesn't end there.
In March, all 14 are being invited to Fiserv Forum to watch a Bucks home game in style.
