2 arrested after altercation at Sam’s Club, OC spray used on bystanders

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people were arrested after an altercation in which one of the individuals used OC spray, commonly known as pepper spray, on Friday, July 5. 

According to the Franklin Police Department, it happened around 5:30 p.m. at a Sam’s Club near 27th and Sycamore. Police responded to a report of a physical altercation inside the store. One of the subjects involved in the altercation used the spray on the other people involved in the altercation as well as bystanders, according to police.

Fire departments responded to the store and treated individuals for OC exposure. Several were conveyed to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

A 35-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 36-year-old Milwaukee man were taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
