Police say 23-year-old Jasmine Banks was caught in the middle of a gunfight while driving with her two kids.
According to a criminal complaint, Brian Clark and Romance Gunn are facing charges. Gunn is charged with first degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon. Clark faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon as well.
Court documents state Banks was in the car with her sister and two children when they heard gunshots and Banks then slumped over.
Despite lifesaving efforts by emergency responders, Banks died at the scene.
Surveillance video showed two cars pulling up to the area before Banks car appears. Three men are seen getting out of the cars. A man, later identified as Gunn, is then seen standing on 5th Street and shooting a gun across the road, which ultimately struck Banks’ car.
Gunn faces 70 years in prison. Clark faces 10 years in prison.
