2 Milwaukee men charged with armed robbery of restaurant worker at gunpoint, stealing her car
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Quntae Russell, 17, and Adrian Thomas, 21, have been charged with armed robbery after allegedly approaching a worker leaving a restaurant on Capitol Drive at midnight on April 28, demanding she empty her pockets and driving off in her car, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
The victim told police the two approached her with guns in the parking lot of Crazy Chicken on Capitol Drive and took her keys before leaving in her white Ford Fusion, the complaint says.
Police found the stolen vehicle the following afternoon on 70th Street after license plate readers tracked it to the area.
Investigators also linked both men to an April 27 armed robbery at a Raising Cane's in Brookfield in which another car was taken.
The complaint says both men fled on foot after officers saw them, and that they were arrested. A firearm and ski mask were reportedly found on Russell during his arrest.
Russell later reportedly admitted to investigators that he grabbed the keys from the victim on April 28 and drove away. He also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent.
