DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon, Sept. 27, on County Highway A near the town of Oak Grove in Dodge County.

The police initial investigation shows the motorcyclist lost control after passing multiple vehicles while traveling at a high rate of speed with traveling north on County Highway A. 

The 22-year-old male motorcyclist from Beaver Dam entered the east shoulder, went through the ditch, struck a culvert and went airborne. He was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a tree. 

He was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to an Aurora Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

He has been arrested for suspicion of impairment. 

The crash is under investigation.
