MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Tyrone Lewis says he got an unexpected call Sunday morning.
“My other cousin called me a like 7am and told me what happened, I was just in disbelief.
Lewis learned his cousin, 24-year-old Andre Nicholson was shot and killed.
“We’re not good right now, it’s just bad, we didn’t expect this to happen.”
Police say Nicholson was a leaving a bar when he was shot multiple times. It happened just before 3:30am early Sunday morning in the 200 block of East Buffalo Street. Milwaukee Police say he died at the scene.
“I don’t have no bad memories with him, no bad nothing with him, he was like my brother," Lewis said.
Lewis says his cousin’s death is a hard pill to swallow.
“Just a good guy, never had no altercations with nobody, nobody could ever have anything bad to say about him.”
CBS 58 talked with a few people in Milwaukee’s Third Ward on Sunday, Dec. 6. They didn’t know there was an overnight shooting.
“I surprised to hear that, I don’t really expect that to happen, especially in the Third Ward, Anthony Chan said. He hangs out in the area.
“The violence man, it just got to stop, you’re not just hurting that one person, you hurting his whole family," Lewis said. "I love him, I’m going to miss him."
CBS 58 is working to confirm more details about this case. This is a developing story.
