3 suspects arrested in connection with burglary, shooting in Menomonee Falls

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a burglary and shooting that happened in Menomonee Falls. 

Police say Sunday, Aug. 18, officers responded to Weyer Farm Drive for a report of a person shot. According to police, suspects entered a home and shot the victim. 

An investigation identified multiple suspects were involved in this violent incident. 

On Thursday, Oct. 3, police say multiple search warrants were executed in Milwaukee and Racine Counties. 

Three suspects were arrested, and charges referred to the district attorney's office. 

  • Zamontae Burch (convicted felon, currently on parole for burglary)
    • Charges:
      • Attempted first-degree intentional homicide 
      • Burglary-armed robbery with a dangerous weapon
      • Possession of a firearm by a felon
      • Operating an auto without owner's consent 
  • Demetri Duvall Wilks
    • Charges:
      • Burglary-armed with a dangerous weapon
      • Operating an auto without owner's consent 
  • Dezmen Wilks (convicted felon, currently on parole for operating an auto without owner's consent)
    • Charges:
      • Burglary-armed with a dangerous weapon
      • Operating an auto without owner's consent
