WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A fifth teen was arrested in connection to the assault of three men near Bradley Tech High School.
Police have arrested two 14-year-old boys, two 15-year-old boys, and a 16-year-old boy.
One of the teens arrested was in court Tuesday, Sept. 17. Judge Amber August referred to the attack as "heinous" and a savage beating on an elder.
The incident was captured on video and shows several teenagers repeatedly hitting, kicking, and punching the men.
A 63-year-old man was transported to a hospital for serious injuries. A 62-year-old man and a 53-year-old man were treated on scene.
Two of the five teens arrested are facing charges of physical abuse to an elder.
The charges for the teenager in court Tuesday were not made public.
The teen’s mom and defense attorney spoke about his character, calling him a good student and athlete, caught up in a chaotic scene.
The defense stated the teen had no prior incidents and was active in his community. The defense also stated the teen was diagnosed with a mood disorder at four years old.
Judge August requested a psychological evaluation and ruled the teen will remain in secure detention. A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Sept. 26.
