7-year-old seriously injured after ATV being operated by 14-year-old crashes into him

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 7-year-old boy from Whitewater was seriously injured after being hit by an ATV.
It happened around 9:53 p.m. on Saturday in the 200 block of Goede Road in the Town of Albion.
According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, a 14-year-old boy was operating a four-wheeler ATV on the residential property when it struck a 7-year-old boy, causing significant life-threatening injuries.
The injured 7-year-old was flown to a local hospital. There is currently no word on his condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
