Oak Creek police release new details, suspect description after stabbing near MATC campus

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) — Oak Creek police have released new details about the incident that prompted a lockdown at Milwaukee Area Technical College's Oak Creek Campus, including a description of the person investigators are searching for.
Police said officers responded shortly after 8:15 p.m. Wednesday to multiple 911 calls reporting a stabbing following a physical altercation near West College Avenue and South 13th Street.
Responding officers secured the area and found an injured adult man, who was given medical aid before being taken to a local hospital with abdominal injuries. Police said he is in stable condition.
Officers also searched the surrounding area for the person involved and preserved evidence at the scene.
After learning about the incident, MATC independently placed its Oak Creek Campus on lockdown under established safety protocols.
Based on witness statements and available surveillance video, police said their preliminary investigation indicates the stabbing was an isolated incident stemming from a disagreement between two people.
Investigators said there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.
Police are now asking for the public's help identifying and locating the person involved in the stabbing.
The man was last seen wearing a royal blue shirt, dark-colored pants and a large chain necklace. Police said he has tattoos on his upper right arm that resemble a wolf's face.
Authorities said anyone who sees the man should not approach him and should call 911.

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) — A lockdown at Milwaukee Area Technical College's Oak Creek Campus was lifted Wednesday night after police searched the surrounding area for an armed suspect.
MATC officials said the college received information from the Oak Creek Police Department around 9 p.m. that officers were searching the area near campus.
As a precaution, the Oak Creek Campus was placed on lockdown, and students and staff were instructed to remain in place.
Oak Creek police searched the area but reported no confirmed sighting of the suspect on campus.
The lockdown was lifted around 9:45 p.m.
