There will be dancers, demonstrations and kids' areas. This is the first time the fair has taken place in person since 2019.

From Romanian dancers to Czech desserts, to demonstrations from French and Native American master artisans.

Glen Gorsuch will be showing off his canoe and paddle making. Gorsuch is a Métis.

"The Frenchmen married into the tribes, which started their own families, which started a whole society of Métis, which means mix," said Gorsuch. "They were French and Native. So, it's fun to pass that on, but at the Folk Fair here, it's fun to learn about everybody else too."

The fair opened early to local schools on Friday.

                  It is open to the public at 2 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
