PEAK's Annual Block Party returns for its 5th year, uniting neighbors in family-fun
MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- The popular Annual Block Party from the Kellogg PEAK Initiative (PEAK) is returning for its fifth year! The "vibrant community celebration" is this Saturday, July 19, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Tiefenthaler Park in Milwaukee’s Midtown neighborhood.
Estevan Galicia, PEAK's Director of Teen & Community Programs joined us on CBS58 Saturday Morning show to discuss the free community event. "It's a celebration of everything that makes our neighborhood special... it’s a day to connect, lift each other up, and shine a light on the incredible talents and gifts that live right here in our neighborhoods. By coming together, we celebrate not only our differences but also the shared strength that unites us" he shared.
The free, family-friendly event is said to unite neighbors, local artists, youth performers, small businesses, and resource providers.
Galicia said some of the highlights would be live music, dancing, free food and ice cream, bounce houses, face painting, crafts, games, contests, and more!
