A warm pattern ahead going into October

A typical early October is full of swings with shots of cooler air from Canada tempering any long-range warming trends.  It's a common pattern as we start to transition into the cooler Fall season.

The Climate Prediction center has our area in a 80% chance for above average highs for late September into early October.

Last October was a quick turn to a cooler Fall.  Most of the month was dominated by unseasonably cooler highs.  There were several 80s during the first 10 days, and then the bottom dropped out with reinforcing shots of cooler air.

Will October of 2019 follow the same pattern?  We will watch and see.
