MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Admirals are getting a makeover this week, temporarily becoming the Milwaukee Cowbells.
They'll wear copper jerseys with a cowbell logo in honor of the classic Saturday Night Live skit that the Ads play on the jumbotron during games.
Chris Kattan, one of the actors from that skit, will be at Tuesday night's game, then on Friday they'll give away cowbells to the first 6,000 fans to try to set a world record for most cowbells rung simultaneously.
"A project that's been discussed, actually, for about two years," said Jon Greenberg, team president. "The 25th anniversary of the famous skit, we knew was going to be this year, so we really should be doing something for this. Cause we play that at our games almost every night. Our fans bring cowbells to games, more so, I think, than any other building that I've been to."
After the games are over, they'll auction off the jerseys for the team's charity. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
