MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley took some time to help elementary school kids decorate ornaments on Friday, Nov. 17.
Students from Golda Meier School will have their artwork displayed on the county holiday tree. While they worked, Crowley talked to kids about their favorite parts of living in Milwaukee.
Crowley says it's important for local leaders to take these chances to connect with their community.
"Especially our young people," said Crowley. "They're our smartest, they're our brightest, they're some of our most vulnerable people in our community so to be able to come here, connect with them, find an opportunity to put a smile on their face is just priceless."
The county holiday tree will be lit on Nov. 30 at the county courthouse rotunda.
