WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Brewers fans woke up early to party in the parking lot of American Family Field Friday, Sept. 26. They ate pocket pancakes, danced the polka and hung out with Wisconsin sport alums and players.

Donald Driver and Pat Murphy were two athletes flipping flapjacks.

The Brewers made more than 20,000 pancakes for the occasion. Those who showed up also got a shirt with a pocket perfect for storing pancakes.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy founded the pocket pancake when he pulled a pancake out of his own pocket during a live interview, and it's been a craze for fans ever since. At Friday morning's tailgate, fans were also able to purchase Murphy's Maple Syrup.

The event was a celebration of the Brewers entering a post-season run.
