MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Brewers game room was unveiled Friday at the Pieper-Hillside Boys & Girls Club in Milwaukee.
The room was remodeled and now has T.V.s, pool and foosball tables, new lighting, flooring and paint. A $75,000 grant from the Boys & Girls Club of America and Major League Baseball was used to pay for the renovation. The Milwaukee Brewers collaborated with the Boys & Girls Club to make the room feel like a MLB clubhouse.
"They made it better for all of us and they committed to the community," Boys & Girls Club participant Reece Davis said.
Leaders at the Boys & Girls Club say they’re happy to have a space for children to have fun.
“Some of the things they need are, you know, making sure they’re getting their homework done, getting meals but they also need time to blow off some steam,” BGC of Greater Milwaukee president and CEO Vincent Lyles said.
The Pieper-Hillside Boys & Girls Club has more than 1,500 members and serves around 200 children every day.
