BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Brown Deer Medallion Hunt returns for a third year, a scavenger hunt to find a hidden medallion worth $2,500.

Hosted by the Brown Deer Community Foundation and sponsored by Café Corazon, the 2026 hunt is set to begin Tuesday, May 12.

Last year, it took 18 days for the medallion to be found along the Oak Leaf Trail.

This year, the medallion will once again be hidden somewhere in Brown Deer with clues being posted every Tuesday and Friday in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and on the Village of Brown Deer website.

The clay medallion was crafted by local Brown Deer artist Jean Wells and features a skull in the Café Corazon colors of red, blue, yellow and orange. Based on the high participation for the hunt last year, Café Corazon upped the prize to $2,500. The winner will also share a taco bar buffet with past winners at the Café Corazon location in Brown Deer.

Good luck, hunters!
