Brown Deer Police investigating after several unlocked vehicles rummaged through overnight

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Brown Deer Police Department is currently investigating after several people reported that their unlocked vehicles were rummaged through.

It happened overnight Thursday into the early morning hours of Friday.

A 56-year-old woman who lives in the 8200 block of 53rd Street called police around 7:42 a.m. on Friday morning to report that her unlocked vehicle was entered sometime overnight while parked in her driveway. The woman reported that cash was taken and her overhead garage door was opened.

While the officer was on scene investigating, a 35-year-old male resident, a 40-year-old male resident, and a 46-year-old male resident all reported that their unlocked vehicles were entered but nothing was taken.

Several of the residents had surveillance video which captured the incidents. 

In one surveillance clip, a man is seen walking up the driveway before entering a car in the victim's driveway.

Another surveillance video clip showed three unidentified male subjects entering a vehicle and then the garage before leaving the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
