Burlington man arrested after firing gun during argument where several small children were present

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 34-year-old Burlington man was arrested after firing a gun into the ground 5 times on Saturday evening.

The Racine County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home in the Town of Burlington around 9:38 p.m. for a report that the man had left his home and fired the gun.

The 911 caller, as well as four children and four other adults, fled the scene.

The shots fired were reported to be related to an argument that started while the adults were having a bonfire.

Deputies took the man into custody without incident.

There were no injuries reported. 

Formal charges of recklessly endangering safety, armed while intoxicated, and disorderly conduct are pending with the Racine County District Attorney's Office.
