Dr. Kimo Ah Yun elected president of Marquette University
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Candidates in the Wisconsin U.S. Senate race made their final stops in the state Tuesday, Nov. 5. At Miss Katie’s diner near Marquette University, Senator Tammy Baldwin greeted voters during breakfast alongside Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers.
It was just one of many stops Baldwin made with Evers before the polls closed.
At the diner, Baldwin met with people from both sides of the aisle and CBS 58 she’s feeling confident because of how many people voted in the state.
Baldwin’s opponent, Eric Hovde, stopped in Richfield, Wis. on Monday and spoke about election integrity.
“We gotta support and strengthen our election process so look, I plan to accept the results of what happens tomorrow,” said Hovde.
Baldwin agreed.
“I think Democrats and Republicans and Independents need to accept the results of a free and fair election and that’s what we run here in the state of Wisconsin,” said Baldwin.
Baldwin continued to campaign in Waukesha before returning to Madison. Hovde was at a phone banking event in Sun Prairie.
