Car stolen in 1990 pulled from Wisconsin River

RICHLAND COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A car stolen in 1990 was pulled from the Wisconsin River Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Office.

In a social media post, the sheriff's office shared that a Pontiac Grand Prix- late 1980s model- was located near the Long Rock Bridge.

Authorities successfully located the owner of the vehicle and determined it was stolen in Monroe County in 1990. 

An investigation to determine how the vehicle ended up in the river is ongoing, however officials say there are no suspicious items in the vehicle or any evidence to believe any occupants were injured.
