Temperatures warmed up a touch over the weekend at least getting closer to average with highs in the upper 60s. It was a fairly cloudy weekend with a round of strong to severe storms on Sunday afternoon with plenty of tree damage across Wisconsin thanks to fully leafed trees acting like a sail combined with a rain soaked ground.
The lows will be of concern once again throughout the week dropping into the lower 40s lakeside and plenty of 30s inland. Some very patchy frost is possible Tuesday morning but more widespread frost away from the lakefront is possible Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We may get our first frost advisory of the season!
Temperatures will start to warm up a little going into the weekend and the beginning of October. Our 6-10 day temperature trend shows a slight warm up for the start of the new month. A 30-40% chance for above-average temperatures is possible. Given that average temps to kick off October are 68* we are talking closer to 70* rather than 80*.
