So far in September every single day has been below average on highs. That's a trend that stretches back to the end of August. With a high of 73 degrees on Wednesday falling three degrees short of the average high of 76, that makes it the 19th day in a row below average and the 24th of the last 25 days below average. The average temperature to date in September is 60.4 degrees which is over eight degrees below average and tied for the 6th coolest start to the month on record.
Temps likely stay below average on Thursday with highs in the low 70s lakeside and mid 70s inland with a NE lake breeze. Friday comes closer to average with highs in the mid 70s coming very close to the average high that has now dropped to 75. The best chance for breaking our long cool streak will be Saturday with a high right around 80. Once we hit 80 we probably stay close to that number most of next week.
Even though the temps will start to increase, dew points and humidity levels will stay relatively low with comfortable level humidity Thursday and Friday with dew points in the upper 50s. Saturday will see a bit more noticeable humidity with dew points in the 60s ahead of our next chance for rain.
