Cool start to the holiday weekend with some showers possible

The Labor Day weekend is here and it starts cool with highs staying in the 60s on Friday. A few showers may also be possible. An area of rain is currently moving through western Wisconsin. It's slow moving and the rain is steady and moderate at times, so some heavy rain may be a possibility if it holds together as it moves our way.

Here's a state radar image that will update with time:

The morning hours Friday should stay all dry but was we approach the midday hours more rain will be possible. After an initial batch of steady rain, more showers will be possible the rest of Friday afternoon and evening.

Not everyone will see the rain Friday as some stay dry but there's at least the chance for some showers and pockets of heavy rain. The shower chance will continue through Friday night into early Saturday morning. Sunday has a low 10% chance for a pop up shower.

After Friday's chance for showers the rest of the weekend looks pretty dry under a mix of sun and clouds with highs slowly warming into the low 70s Saturday and middle 70s Sunday. Labor Day itself looks like the warmest day with highs in the upper 70s.
